Malaysia's Best Man-Made Tourist Attraction!
 No other man-made attraction has ever won two major tourism awards in the same year, but Malaysia's own Sunway Lagoon has done it! Straight on the heels of winning the first Asian Attraction Awards for Most Popular Attraction (Medium-sized) in Asia at the International Association of Amusement Parks and Attractions (IAAPA) Asian Expo at Siam Paragon, Bangkok, Thailand, Sunway Lagoon has just been awarded Malaysia's Best Man-Made Tourist Attraction Award by the Ministry of Tourism.
At the recent Malaysia Tourism Award, 43 awards were presented to the industry players in recognition of their support to the industry's continuous growth and development.
The Asian Attractions Awards are jointly organised by IAAPA and AXN Asia, the action and adventure cable and satellite TV channel. IAAPA was founded in 1918 and is a non-profit organization with a membership consisting of fixed-site facilities and suppliers. The association is dedicated to the preservation and prosperity of the amusement industry worldwide.
 When interviewed over the streak winning, Aaron Soo, the CEO of Sunway Lagoon said, "Sunway Lagoon has endeavoured to give our guests the best fun-filled experience. We are constantly upgrading our facilities and keeping abreast of new developments in the leisure industry."
